Southeast Asia

Why Southeast Asia?

GeeXstar is dedicated to serve as a bridge between Europe and the strongly increasing Southeast Asian (SEA) tech hub. When founding GeeXstar, there was no professional M&A boutique in the region, focusing on internet and media companies. Even the ecosystem was in its early stages.

Since 2013, we are strong believers that SEA has the potential to build a very strong ecosystem for tech entrepreneurs and investors. 600 million inhabitants and a mobile-first generation, talent from across the globe, increasingly improving infrastructure and venture capital activities are an excellent hotbed for a prospering ecosystem.

Due to the latest research by Google and the investment company Temasek, there is a USD200bn opportunity for startups. Southeast Asia is the world’s fastest growing internet region with an existing internet user base of 260m growing to 480m users in 2020.

GeeXstar was founded as the first tech M&A boutique in the early days of the Southeast Asian ecosystem and is very optimistic about the future developments across the markets in Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia, Myanmar, Malaysia and Cambodia.
We also provide an excellent network across Western Europe, CEE and other emerging markets such as North- and South Africa and China.

Europe

We provide a large network across Europe and support companies from their early days. In addition to M&A and growth financing advisory, we also provide venture and seed funding support and prepare founder teams or young companies to receive their first Venture Capital Investment, e.g. from High-Tech-Gruenderfonds in Germany or other seed investors from European countries. Our services go far beyond financing advisory.

We also provide strategic advice, a network to technology providers, mentors, strategic partners, lawyers, accelerators and other related parties.

Other Emerging Marktes

In addition to Southeast Asia and Europe, we also advise companies in other Emerging Markets, such as North- and South Africa and China.
